The GPU market is not slowing down, more MSI & ASUS cards coming
New EEC filing reveals MSI and ASUS plans.
Both MSI and ASUS are actively expanding their offerings with designs based on both GeForce and Radeon GPUs. Recently, MSI unveiled the GAMING DUKE series, starting with the RTX 4060 model, with signs that more are on the horizon. True to those predictions, MSI is now confirmed to be developing additional GAMING DUKE cards, including ones based on the RTX 4070, along with dual-fan designs.
Furthermore, MSI is diversifying its lineup with the introduction of the EXPERT Classic model. While details remain somewhat cryptic, the already-available EXPERT design features a push-pull air cooler design similar to NVIDIA’s Founders Edition. The “Classic” designation suggests a nod to older designs, possibly adopting a single fan akin to a conventional blower-style cooler.
Additionally, MSI is expanding its range with the Shadow and Ventus Black series, centered around the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4060 Ti, respectively. One thing is sure, the list of MSI RTX 40 models will grow even more, which is already at 144 models, and that’s just one company.

ASUS has revealed plans for an expanded lineup of Radeon RX 7900 series GPUs, as indicated in their filing. Historically, ASUS has been somewhat cautious in releasing their top-tier designs for Radeon GPUs, with the ROG STRIX series notably absent from RDNA3 models.
However, the EEC filling suggests that ASUS may introduce its first ROG STRIX model based on the RX 7900 GRE. Additionally, the filing lists more TUF and DUAL models based on the RX 7900 XTX/XT/GRE series.
It’s worth noting that ASUS has a habit of releasing variants denoted by letters like T (Top), O (OC), and A (Advanced). However, it’s uncertain whether all of these variants will see the light of day.
