HWiNFO 8.0 now available
HWiNFO one of the most popular diagnostic and information tools for PCs has reached a 8.00 version milestone.
The latest version of HWiNFO, version 8.00, has officially ended support for Windows XP, focusing solely on X64 systems moving forward. While 32-bit systems are still supported, the official installer will only be compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows. However, users can still access the 32-bit version through a portable installer.
This change shouldn’t affect most users, however, as 32-bit systems are now considered outdated, with modern CPUs predominantly supporting 64-bit operating systems.
Version 8.0 also introduces a built-in On-Screen-Display (OSD), which was previously in beta. This feature allows users to display system stats directly from the HWiNFO tool without the need for additional software. Although the beta OSD was somewhat problematic for some users, this official release aims to offer a smoother experience. Additionally, HWiNFO still supports Riva Statistic Server for those who prefer it, eliminating the need for any extra installations.

Version 8.0 of HWiNFO includes updates for NVIDIA’s latest non-standard GPU configurations such as the GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060, which were mentioned in the post. Additionally, this version brings support for the ASUS NUC series and includes fixes for AMD Hawk Point Integrated Graphics Processing Units (IGPUs). These enhancements make updating to this version highly recommended.
