ASUS unveils its Thor III power supply
ASUS has introduced the ROG Thor 1600W Titanium III, a flagship power supply that aligns with the latest standards. Unlike its predecessor, which supported the 12VHWPR power connector via adapters, the Thor III comes with native support for this connector.
This PSU is designed for high-end systems and incorporates GaN MOSFET technology, offering enhanced power efficiency and a more streamlined internal design for cooler operation. ASUS highlights the inclusion of a patented intelligent voltage stabilizer, which ensures stable power delivery to your graphics card, thus improving overall performance.
An important feature of the ROG Thor 1600W Titanium III is its two 12V-2×6 power connectors for GPUs, potentially supporting up to three RTX 4090 cards if the third card utilizes 8-pin adapters. Thus far, there is no data about lower wattage SKUs.

Another standout feature of the ROG Thor 1600W Titanium III is the built-in OLED panel that displays real-time power usage. This is particularly useful for quickly monitoring system power consumption, especially during gaming and when using multiple GPUs. A new addition is the magnetic attachment of the panel, allowing it to be positioned on either side of the PSU.
The PSU also includes a Turbo mode designed to maximize power delivery for overclocked systems. While not everyone might use this feature manually, it can be beneficial for those who always run their systems at overclocked settings.
As of now, the Thor III is not listed with full details, and its release date and pricing information have not been announced.
