AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX drops to $699

The Sapphire PULSE model is currently below $700 at two US retailers.

Sapphire has lowered the price for its PULSE model based on Radeon RX 7900 XT GPU to $699. This is not the first the card has dropped to this level, but this is the first time such an offer is available for anyone living in the US for online purchase. The last time this had happened was in June through MicroCenter pickup option only.

Last month, AMD lowered the price for its Radeon RX 7900 XT GPU to $749, but retailers and more importantly, board partners were quick to respond to this price cut by lowering their margins to $709. As expected, it was only a matter of time before we started seeing this price breaking the $700 barrier again.

AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT features Navi 31 GPU with 5376 Stream Processors. The card launched in December 2022 at a price of $899. This $200 price adjustment for AMD’s second-best RDNA3 desktop GPU appears a week after NVIDIA launched its RTX 4080 SUPER with 16GB memory.

AMD’s RX 7900XT main advantage is larger 20GB memory capacity at a nearly $300 lower price, while being only 10 to 15% slower in most gaming benchmarks.
