AFOX launches blower-style GeForce RTX 4080

The RTX 4080 just got louder

AFOX launches RTX 4080 with blower cooling, for some reason.

AFOX intros its first RTX 4080 graphics card. The card features an identical cooler design to the RTX 4090, sporting a blower-style design. What’s interesting is that NVIDIA has effectively discontinued its RTX 4080 cards, replacing them with SUPER models. The new cards are not only faster but also cheaper, so seeing a new RTX 4080 even two months after the SUPER release is quite intriguing.

As we found out, AFOX has just updated their website to list RTX 4080 model. Thus far, AFOX has made RTX 4090, RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 (you can find the full list in our database). The RTX 4080 is basically a reference-spec’ed design with 9728 CUDA cores, cut-down AD103 GPU and 16GB of GDDR6X memory. Naturally, there is no sign of factory-overclocking, and it is very likely that the maximum power limit is also not very high.

The card is powered by a single 12VHWPR power connector located at the rear, a common configuration found in data-center or mining-centric designs. This placement simplifies the installation of blower-style cards, without the need for cable routing.

AFOX is not a widely known brand, and obtaining details on their cards at retailers can be difficult. It appears that AFOX cards are primarily distributed to system integrators, making it unlikely for consumers to find them readily available for sale. For the same reason, there is no information on pricing, simply because it is not publicly advertised.
